Drying Techniques
Puritan Flood Restoration Corporation is the leading restorative drying firm in New England – the only organization with the manpower, experience and equipment to dry your flood-damaged property to pre-flood condition within a few days.

We dry scores of flood-damaged residential, commercial and institutional properties year round using a unique, five-step process to ensure water damage is minimized or completely eliminated. Here's how:

1     Puritan's restorative drying specialists will respond to your call 24 hours a day, any day of the year. On arriving at your property, they'll undertake a visual and instrument-based assessment of water damage. Using your input and state-of-the-art thermal hygrometers and moisture detectors they'll determine where water has penetrated interior floors and walls – then act quickly to remedy the situation. They'll also suggest ways to efficiently dry damaged personal property or commercial goods.

2     With a firm understanding of how to proceed, Puritan technicians will skillfully deploy a powerful array of restorative drying equipment at your site. Advances in drying technology in the last few years now mean good – even superior – results even in the worst disasters. Puritan helps ensure a positive outcome for your property by implementing contingency drying procedures precisely matched to your specific needs.

3     Puritan's roster of restorative drying equipment is second to none. Our equipment is specially built and selected for restorative drying applications, with over five hundred individual pieces in our depot ready to assist in your worst emergencies. Our high-velocity air movers, refrigerant and desiccant dehumidifiers and other water removal equipment are specially selected for durability and power – typically two to ten times that mustered by non-specialized firms.

4     As drying proceeds at your site, Puritan carefully monitors your flooded property, checking trouble spots to see how best to remedy problems and speed the process. By efficiently removing water and embedded moisture from floors and walls, both visible and subsurface structural damage is minimized. This can mean big savings in time and money in refurbishing and rebuilding. Insurance adjusters turn to Puritan again and again for reliable, money-saving service.

5     Once a Puritan site manager determines drying is largely accomplished, your property will be given a final instrument check. Our restorative drying specialists know where to look for subsurface accumulations that can result in structural degradation and substandard air quality months and even years after a flooding incident. By returning all structural components to a pre-loss dry state, such problems are entirely mitigated.
